The Tomb of
the Unknowns at “Here rest in honored glory an American 1soldier known but to God”. |
The Korean Memorial at night. I found this memorial to be one of the most moving of any I saw. |
Vietnam Memorial, with a reflection of the Mall and the Washington Monument. |

Just after we arrived in DC, it was Cherry Blossom time. Hundreds of them planted around the Tidal Basin as a gift from Japan. Absolutely gorgeous. |
Albert. Einstein, that is. Just go north from the Vietnam Memorial. A great place to relax and feel good about the world after the Korean and Vietnam Memorials. |
More of my shutterbug coming out. The Washington Monument, of course. |

A hike on Maryland Heights, above Harper’s Ferry. Left to Right: Myself, Lorrie Ledesma (spot 2) and Ryan Silverman (“Sky”). |
A bit creepy looking, but 2 of the original masks from the Nairobi Trio bit from the “Ernie Kovaks Show”. If you don’t know what the Nairobi trio was, it’s a bit hard to explain. |
Sunday before Memorial Day. An event called Rolling Thunder. Thousands and thousands of motorcycles riding to remember POWs and MIA’s and all who’ve served. Truly amazing. |
